The Ministry of Transport has officially launched the maiden edition of the Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair 2025, under the theme “Resetting Ghana’s Transport Sector for Improved Connectivity, Innovation and Investment.” The fair is designed to reposition Ghana’s transport industry as a hub for growth, technology, and international partnerships.
At the Media Launch held at Ho, the Volta Regional capital, the Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, said the initiative aligns with a presidential directive to make Ghana’s transport sector the central hub for aviation, maritime, and road services.
“We had a directive from the Presidency to ensure that we position the Ministry of Transport to become the hub to aviation, the hub to maritime, the hub to road transport services,” the Minister said. “It is my hope, my belief and expectation that all the private sector, all the investors, all the business minded people will join us to make the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Fair a success.”
The fair, scheduled for October 22–24, 2025, will bring together stakeholders from government, private industry, and international partners to explore policy reform, showcase innovations, and drive new investment opportunities in the country’s transport sector.
Dr. Chief Nat Nsorko, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Eye, stressed that the chosen theme “Resetting Ghana’s Transport Sector for Improved Connectivity, Innovation and Investment,” reflects the urgent need to modernize Ghana’s transport infrastructure and regulatory framework. “We want more investment into that space so that we are able to leverage on the modernisation that’s happening all over the world to improve the sector,” Dr. Nsorko said. “Transport is actually the spine of the economic growth of the country… This fair is a unique platform, and we’re going to bring everybody on board.”
Nanahemaa Adjoa Awindor, Executive Director, Digital Eye explained that the event will feature exhibitions, seminars, and interactive experiences — including opportunities for young people to engage with innovations such as electric vehicles and aviation technology.
Organisers believe the theme provides a timely framework for collaboration, as Ghana seeks to align transport development with global best practices, improve connectivity across regions, and attract both local and foreign investors.
