@Source: nj.com
Clearview walked out of the South Jersey Invitational with a team title after shooting a 190, beating out Moorestown by 12 strokes at the Westwood Golf Club in Woodbury.
It was an all-around team win for Clearview as all four of its golfers finished in the top 20, led by sophomore Lydia Bernardi, who shot a 44 and was one stroke behind Mainland’s Kasey O’Brien for first place.
Stella Bernardi tied Haddonfield’s Francesca O’Neil for third with a 45, while Camryn Heil shot a 47 to come in sixth. Anna Lomonaco placed 17th with a 54.
Despite getting off to a tough start and double-bogeying her first two holes, O’Brien settled down as the day went on and parred five of the last seven to take home the individual award.
The ninth hole proved to be the difference as O’Brien parred it while Lydia Bernardi hit a bogey.
Moorestown had a strong showing as it finished second with a 202, despite being without some of its heavy hitters in Katherine Liu, Lauren Patullo, and Savannah Laverty.
Astor Broering led the Quakers with a fifth-place finish, shooting a 46, while freshman Phoebe Wang placed 10th with a 49. Fellow freshman Shree Desai came in 12th with a 50, while junior Elena Ferri was 25th with a 57.
Washington Township and Haddonfield tied for third with a 212, while Schalick finished fifth with a 214.
