Good Morning Britain's duo, Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, welcomed Eurovision hopefuls Remember Monday to the show on Monday. The girl group was recently unveiled as the UK's entry for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with their track What The Hell Just Happened? During their appearance on the programme, they discussed their excitement and plans for the competition. Host Susanna, 54, couldn't contain her enthusiasm, confidently asserting: "I say this is the winner!" leaving Remember Monday visibly taken aback as they exclaimed: "Oh, woah!" Undeterred by past disappointments, Susanna amplified her praise: "I think it's massive, I think it's absolutely massive!" Co-host Ed, however, interjected with a reality check, reminding: "Susanna, we say that every year!" only to be swiftly corrected by Susanna, who insisted: "No we don't, sorry, no we don't, we really don't!" In another attempt to scoop some insider information, presenter Richard Arnold probed the trio about what they might reveal concerning their Eurovision act. Lauren Byrne of Remember Monday conceded: "We can't give away all our secrets!" Nevertheless, the group hinted that their background in musical theatre meant they wouldn't shy away from some on-stage drama for their performance. The country music ensemble will surely hope their efforts translate into a more successful outcome at the forthcoming contest in May, set in Basel, Switzerland, than what the UK witnessed in the previous two years. Following a couple of disappointing Eurovision outcomes for the UK, with Olly Alexander's Dizzy securing 18th place in Malmo, Sweden in 2024, and Mae Muller's I Wrote A Song landing second to last in Liverpool in 2023, Remember Monday is ready to shake things up, reports the Manchester Evening News . The trio expressed their astonishment at being selected, saying: "What The Hell Just Happened? is exactly how we're feeling right now. It's all very surreal; our friendship goes so far back, and we definitely never imagined that we'd be doing anything like this." They reminisced about their childhood aspirations, stating: "When you're a kid and people ask you what you want to be when you grow up, an absolute classic is 'I wanna be a pop star', so the fact that we're getting the chance to live that dream as three best friends is just wild." As the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, they acknowledged the significance of this opportunity, saying: "We're going to be the first girl band to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour. We're going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won't have seen before on the Eurovision stage." With their sights set on success, they added: "We honestly can't wait to experience this with all of the other incredible artists from around the world, and hopefully make everyone back at home feel proud. This is really the music World Cup and we'll do our best to bring it home." Good Morning Britain is on ITV1 weekdays at 6am and on ITVX
