Golf fans go crazy for ridiculously cheap Masters food and drinks prices as receipt reveals how much they can get for $30
@Source: dailymail.co.uk
Golf fans are raving about the bargain prices at the Masters - with the entire menu costing just $77 (£59).
It's the golden ticket in golf that everyone wants, and attending Augusta certainly isn't cheap.
While a ticket for a tournament day via the ballot is $140/£107, on the secondary market the minimum has soared into the thousands - one pair of tickets was even priced at $64,000/£49,000.
Once you're there, though, it's a different story.
There are 27 items on offer, none of which costs more than $6/£4.59. One fan shared a receipt where they managed to pick up some chips, pimento, a ham and cheese sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, a tomato pie, a pork barbeque sandwich, a Crows Nest drink, and some wine all for $27.67/£21.15 - including tax.
'The prices are so reasonable it’s almost unbelievable….man I love The Masters,' wrote one fan on X.
'Very reasonable,' said another.
'Unbeatable. It’s all about golf and tradition at Augusta. May it (n)ever change,' one wrote.
'The amazing thing is they could double all the prices and it’s still a great value,' another commented.
But one hit back: 'Look at the ticket price for a four day pass. That’s how they can make these prices as low as they are.'
Some items have increased in price, including cookies and peanuts (up $0.25/£0.19 on last year).
The tournament has added to its menu for 2025, Front Office Sports reports, with a 'savory tomato pie' now available for $3/£2.29, while patrons can now buy apple slices for $1.50/£1.15.
Iconic Augusta sandwiches - egg salad and pimento cheese - remain just $1.50 apiece, while others including the Masters Club are only $3.
The most expensive items on the menu are wine and beer including the 'Crow's Nest', which is served exclusively at the four-day tournament.
Among the items on the morning menu are a chicken biscuit ($3) and a blueberry muffin ($2/£1.53).
Augusta also offers a number of snacks that have a local twist, including southern cheese straws ($2), Georgia pecan caramel popcorn ($2) and Georgia peach ice cream sandwich ($3).
