The only thing that hasn't happened yet is AI and robotics being mature enough to take over for human workers (including repairing themselves instead of needing human hands to do so), once that happens it's up in the air what will happen to us non-wealthy. Eventually, they will have to feed off each other. Try to convince them they're wrong, and that they can't have infinite growth in a finite volume. It's eutrophication logic. They are literally operating on the intellectual level of algae. See, this is the thing: in a society that doesn't have a strong charity* and welfare, the poor suffer. When the poor suffer, the rich have no one to sell to. At that point what are you selling? Amazon? Walmart? Insurance? Stock? Whatever it is, if you don't have a market, no matter how large your business is, it is going to fail. Actually, the larger the business, the faster you'll fail because of overheads and salaries. /*I don't have to sell you on the concept of Zakat //Islam actually enforced the turnover of stagnant cash/liquidity; over a certain amount and you have to pay 2.5% yearly of that stagnant money. Has to go to the poor (no income) and the low income. ///guess what happens when low income people are supported? They become positive flow people who then can support others. That's how the market grows. Choking the market and squeezing the poor is a sure fire way to ruin an economy on the long run. Which would only make sense if you are a vulture and move from economy to economy and milking them dry and then moving to another country and creating wars and financing wars. The Exit Stencilist (2) Funniest less than a minute ago The end game is the wealthy get everything and you get nothing. Maybe when they start rounding up the homeless in "work camps" and those lucky enough to be deemed employable as servants accept writs of servitude instead of employment contracts, the reality of the situation will dawn on you Shouldn't be too long now. Your "way of life" won't exist in 5 years, maybe even less. But the writing on the walls been there since the 70s. So no rush getting a clue. Take your time. Maybe there'll be someone you can vote for in the mid-terms that can... Oh yeah... about that. Those won't be happening. Not that it matters or you'll do anything about it.
