While he's always impressed in the ballroom on Strictly Come Dancing , Gorka Marquez's fans are putting him down for a 'new career' after his latest public appearance. It was earlier this year that the dancer announced that he would be joining the World XI as a player as the "world's biggest celebrity football match" returned for 2025. The latest match at Old Trafford , which sees an England team take on Soccer Aid World XI side, with former professionals and celebrities making up the teams, was a sell-out as thousands of fans packed into the "Theatre of Dreams" to watch the stars in action. While England looked keen for a back-to-back win after lifting the trophy last year at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, the latest game ended with a 5-4 win for the Soccer Aid World XI team, with the final goal being scored by rapper and TV chef Big Zuu. Gorka was among those on the World XI side celebrating as they lifted the Soccer Aid trophy, just after singer Robbie confirmed more than £15 million had been raised for UNICEF. As the dust settled on the momentous occasion, Gorka took to Instagram with a string of snaps as he celebrated his team's win, as well as everyone involved in raising millions for charity. He wrote alongside the post: "WHAT A NIGHT!! 15 million pounds Rised for @socceraid @unicef_uk and playing football at Old Trafford along next to some incredible and talented and awesome humans. "An experience that I’ll never forget! THANK YOU TO everyone who came to watch support and donated." His fiancée Gemma Atkinson was quick to respond to the post with a string of clapping emojis. It comes after she shared a video of Gorka on the pitch as she watched from the stands and said: "I was beyond proud yesterday!" His fellow Strictly stars also showed support.
