Great Boulder facing long break after steady rain cancels out final round
@Source: thewest.com.au
Great Boulder’s pursuit of the Eastern Goldfields Cricket Association’s A-grade premiership will occur without the benefit of a match in three weeks after heavy rain forced the cancellation of Saturday’s last round of qualifiers.
The Two Blues were due to round-out the regular season against Hannans at Wallace Park.
But the minor premiers were instead handed an extended break while they prepare for a fifth consecutive grand final appearance on March 29.
Norths officially finish second on net run rate over Hannans ahead of an elimination final between the two clubs on March 22 for the other grand final spot.
Lake View, with four wins, were already out of finals contention.
In B-grade, North Kalgoorlie finish first on net run rate, ahead of Great Boulder who play Lake View in the elimination final next weekend.
The EGCA’s O’Shaughnessy Medal count will be on March 23 from 4pm at the Tower Hotel.
