The Guam Cycling Federation is all set to hold 2025 Guam National Road Championship on Aug. 3.
It uses the previous Southern Discomfort route that starts on Dandan Road in Malojloj, heads to the turnaround at Fort Soledad, and then back to the start to complete a lap.
Although there will be a one- and two-lap option, those vying for the national champion title must do the two-lap option.
The race is open to all participants. However, only athletes that meet the GNOC residency requirements, send in a letter of intent to qualify by 30 July via email to info@guamcycling.com, are current GCF members in good standing, and that participate in the open/elite category will be eligible for the Guam National Champion title.
The race starts at 6:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to come early for ample check-in time.
The registration will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at 5 p.m.
The Guam Cycling Federation is recognized by the Union Cycliste Internationale, the Oceania Cycling Confederation, and the Guam National Olympic Committee as the official governing body of the sport of cycling on Guam.
Its mission is to develop the sport of cycling on Guam, with the goal of producing a team of elite cyclists to represent the island in international competitions including the Olympics.
