Helen Skelton has been supported by her former dance partner Gorka Marquez as she opened up about motherhood being a 'wild ride'. The presenter took to social media to share how she spent her recent Mother's Day with her children - Louis, nine, Ernie, seven, and Elsie, three - who she shares with her rugby star ex-husband Richie Myler. Helen posted a sweet photo of herself with her three kids as they got outdoors in the spring sunshine on their bikes. Alongside the candid snap, the TV star said: "It is a wild ride….." She went on, as she also shared a video of them peddling away on their bike ride: "Every woman I know is mothering someone [love heart eyes and laughing emojis]. I hope your tribe is a fun one. Yes there is a pole sticking out of my head. #sunday #family #weekends #mothersday." Gorka, who partnered Helen to the final of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2022, was quick to respond to the post as he shared alongside a heart emoji: "you are super mama." And he wasn't the only one to say so as Helen's followers rushed to comment. @marie.sheer.5 said: "Happy Mother’s Day Helen. Your beautiful children are super lucky to have such a fabulous mumma." @lesleyhatton54 commented: "You are a star Helen with a beautiful family." @emma_the_ginga_ninga26 wrote: "You are flippin' WONDERFUL." @judithmgarrett added: "What a super Mum you are." It comes after Helen recently took some time to relfect on her and her co-star Gethin Jones' impressive feat after their Wheely Big Challenge saw them roller skate non-stop for 24 hours to raisie money for Comic Relief. Helen first said on social media after getting her phone back from the Morning Live team; "Broadcast and roller skated for twenty four hours. Overwhelmed by your support. "In awe of your donations. Thank you for watching and messaging through the night. Thank you for supporting some selfless people who run charities that are trying to give people a bit of an easier ride in difficult times. Thank you for travelling from all over the country to cheer us on team ML. So much respect for @bbcmorninglive @versastudios @comicrelief. This is why we do telly." Helen's attention later turned to Gethin and alongside a string of pictures and videos of the pair, from starting their challenge to marking Red Nose Day on the big night itself, Helen said alongside pictures of them in roller-skating action: "Still not over it. Sorry…. Humbled by your generosity and so impressed the @bbcmorninglive team pulled this off…... "Raised over a million for some charities that lift all of our communities. Celebrated some unbelievably selfless people and their work. Broadcast live for around 26 hours. Shone a light on volunteers who deserve the credit. True privilege to be part of. Watch for highlights…. Put together by just some of the team who volunteered their time." She added: "My dear @gethincjones …. You are some man. I don’t publicly say often enough how much love and respect I have for you my friend because I assume it is well known, but for the record you’re a legend and I am beyond grateful to have you by my side on the rink, the sofa and beyond. I can gush he doesn’t read beyond one paragraph on an insta post."
