Gabby Logan, a veteran sports presenter, has revealed she was removed from her World Cup duties in 2006 by a former boss at ITV. The incident occurred mid-tournament while Ms Logan was in Germany and her children, back at home, were about one year old. Her boss effectively “sidelined” her, asking her not to return after a scheduled break, she said. Ms Logan said she “thought it was going to be the end of my career” but she was given another opportunity by the BBC. She now hosts the coverage of various major sporting events, including the Olympics and FIFA World Cups.
