You could replace "Gen Z" with any other generation, and the article would still make sense because it's all vague cliches.
As I once heard someone put it, "generations" are the marketing equivalent of horoscopes.

Because our society has gotten progressively weaker the richer our country has become. This is why empires have a shelf life.

Yup, every generation of humanity that's ever lived has thought the previous one was too uptight, and that the next ones were gullible suckers...

But when researchers from Stanford studying young people's media literacy - the ability to accurately evaluate information in the wilds of mass media - showed the video to 3,446 high school students, only three succeeded in identifying the Russian connection.

I actually believed college would give me a good job with benefits, that the work world was based on merit, that we were smart enough as a country not to vote in a moronic dictator. Twice.

Close. Our society has gotten weaker as fewer and fewer people get richer and richer. Concentration of wealth and a disconnect of the ruling class from the people brings down empires.
It's why Rome fell, its why France and Russia fell. England is more complicated, but it was also a factor.
The powerful lose touch with the actual empire, and start making mistakes based on vanity, greed and stupidity. Power is fundamentally deranging, and wealth is a form of power.

The most gullible person I know is a Boomer. She eats only organic food, which is an odd combination with her drinking ivermectin. Hers was intended as a topical ointment for horses. She only believes in medicine if it's fraudulent.
She's anti-vax, and was previously convinced that 5G cell towers were government mind-control devices, just like the COVID nasal test (they shove tracking devices up your nose). She expects the Apocalypse to come on November 22nd, and has for years.
She's planted fruit trees to help us after she's been Raptured, which would be more useful if she bothered to take care of them. Most of them have died, so we now have a landscape of dead fruit trees. In the meantime, she has a hobby of buying into get-rich-quick schemes. Maybe you can take it with you!

Blaming the victims for the system of corporate propaganda that has destroyed our country.
We used to have decent education in this country.
We used to have a press that at least tried to come to some consensus and provide accuracy.
And the internet was briefly a pretty cool place before the corporations discovered it and used it as the weapon of our destruction.

I'd argue the press was always hiat or miss. We have this rose tinted view of the old media, but they were rarely deep seekers of truth.
