The Thunder lead the series 3-2 and are one game away from advancing to the Western Conference finals, while the Nuggets find themselves in a must-win situation to avoid elimination. Except for a blowout 43-point victory for the Thunder in Game 2, this series has seen some close contests. This includes Oklahoma City’s 112-105 win in Game 5. Nuggets star center Nikola Jokić found his groove after suffering a multi-game shooting slump. He finished with 44 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. The Thunder got off to a hot start but Jokić’s exceptional play, complemented by Jamal Murray’s 28 points kept the game competitive. Denver took a three-point lead with just over a minute remaining, but the Thunder fought back and got the win. They now have the opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Finals and play the Minnesota Timberwolves.
