Nashville is trying to continue to build its stock as one of he best teams in the Eastern Conference. Following the club’s U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 match with Orlando City on Wednesday, Nashville is trying to keep its unbeaten streak intact.
Following a scoreless draw on home soil against D.C. United last Saturday, Nashville has failed to lose in each of its past five league matches, though four of them came in the Music City. Nevertheless, the team’s ability to get the job done at home is keeping them near the top of the table.
While there is still time to turn things around, it is looking like another potentially long season for Toronto. TFC went winless in its first eight matches of the season, not winning a match until mid-April. The team has looked to have slowly turned a corner, grabbing wins in two of its last three matches, including a 6-1 thrashing of CF Montreal last Saturday.
Nashville sits third in the East, five points back of FC Cincinnati and the Philadelphia Union for first. TFC is 13th in the conference table, six points back of a potential playoff spot.
