Additionally, constitutional amendments and some impeachment proceedings also demand a two-thirds vote.How does a bill become a law in the U.S.?Introduction:A member of Congress (either House or Senate) introduces the bill. It’s assigned a number and referred to the relevant committee for review.Committee Action:The committee studies the bill, holds hearings, and may revise it.
