Following his comeback to the Indian team for the upcoming Test series against England after a long gap prolific batter Karun Nair has now made a strong case for himself to be included in the playing XI for the first Test against the hosts.
Karun delivered a masterful display with the bat on Day 1 of the first four-day match during India As tour of the England Lions at St Lawrence Ground Canterbury on Friday.
The seasoned campaigner appeared in complete control on a surface that offered good value for batting. He hit a brilliant century against the Lions. As per the latest report he is unbeaten on 114 with Dhruv Jurel 8 no giving him company.
India A were in a great position with 258 for the loss of three wickets on the third session of day one.
Unfortunately Team India discard Sarfaraz Khan missed his century by a whisker. Though he batted aggressively he got out on 92.
