India vs Pakistan at UNSC: Islamabad plans to play victim card, New Delhi ready to counter its false claims by…

New Delhi: India and neighbouring Pakistan will once again come face to face — but this time at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) which is scheduled to take place in July. At the meeting it is expected that Islamabad will play its old victim card on several issues including terrorism. On the other hand India is preparing to thwart Pakistans attempts. It is expected that as soon as Pakistan gets the presidency of the UNSC it will use the power for its own interests cornering India on several issues. As usual Islamabad will also try to garner sympathy for itself at the global level. It is to be noted that July will be very crucial for India at the UNSC. New Delhi is gearing up to showcase its growing economic strength and increasing investment ventures. Additionally it will also raise the issue of problems caused by terrorism.
India To Raise Problem Caused By Terrorism
Islamabad is expected to raise the Kashmir issue during its presidency creating a false narrative around it ET reported. It will also organise an Islamic Cooperation Organisation meeting in July. On the other hand India is expected to focus on its economic success. New Delhi will also organise a photo exhibition on terrorism and its effect on people. The photo exhibition to be held in New York will be inaugurated by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
India To Participate In The Open Debate
Notably the UNSC will conduct an open debate on international peace and security on July 22. During the debate member countries will talk about promoting peace and security through various parties and the peaceful resolution of disputes. India will also participate in the debate.
Pakistans Kashmir Issue
India plans to showcase its development achievements at several July programs at the United Nations while Pakistan is expected to reiterate its stance on Kashmir. NITI Aayogs Vice President Suman Beri may participate in these UN events focusing on economic progress and the Sustainable Development Goals.
