IPL 2025 GT vs MI Probable Playing XIs, Impact Players: Five-time champions Mumbai Indians will face Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans in the ninth league stage match of IPL 2025 on Saturday (March 29) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where on Tuesday, GT suffered a heartbreaking defeat by 11 runs against Punjab Kings despite scoring 232 runs. The home team will expect their batters to come up with a big show once again on Saturday and their bowlers to keep Mumbai Indians batters under check. MI, on the other hand, will also look to secure its first win of the season after losing by four wickets against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings on March 23. Hardik Pandya will lead the Mumbai-based franchise against his former team. GT’s likely playing XI For the high-voltage match against Mumbai Indians, GT could drop Arshad Khan to the bench and replace him with Washington Sundar. Sundar was surprisingly left out of GT’s playing XI in the last match against PBKS, where the team’s best bowler was R Sai Kishore. The advantage with Sundar is that he can bowl in the powerplay as well and is capable of scoring runs at a quick pace in the middle overs. The home team will have high expectations from Mohammed Siraj against MI. Siraj made a forgetful debut for GT against PBKS, and he, along with Prasidh Krishna, would like to make up for it on Saturday. As far as GT’s batting is concerned, the onus once again will be on the top three of Sai Sudharsan, Gill and Jos Buttler. GT’s probable playing XI: B Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Shahrukh Khan, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna Impact players: Sherfane Rutherford, Glenn Phillips MI’s likely playing XI Hardik Pandya is all set to play his first match of IPL 2025 on Saturday and will lead Mumbai Indians as well. He missed the team’s last match against CSK in Chennai on Sunday (March 23) due to a one-match suspension he was carrying from the 2024 season. Hardik’s return to the playing XI will add strength to MI’s bowling attack, which will miss the services of Jasprit Bumrah on Saturday as well. Bumrah is yet to get clearance from NCA to join the Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2025. In the match at the world’s largest cricket stadium, MI will expect a big show with the bat from England star Will Jacks. Jacks scored a 42-ball century for his previous franchise, RCB, in the IPL 2024 match played against Titans. Andhra pacer Satyanarayan Raju is likely to make way for 24-year-old Kerala spinner Vignesh Puthur in the playing XI after he picked up three wickets against CSK on IPL debut. Mumbai Indians’ probable playing XI: Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton (WK), Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (C), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Vignesh Puthur Impact players: Robin Minz, Satyanarayan Raju Stay updated with all the latest news on IPL 2025, including the schedule, points table, top run-scorers (IPL Orange Cap), and leading wicket-takers (IPL Purple Cap).
