Baghdad, June 15 (QNA) - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed regional developments during a phone call on Sunday.
According to the Iraqi Prime Minister's Media Office's statement, both sides stressed the importance of coordinating and unifying efforts in order to enhance the region's security and stability.
The statement added that they condemned the Israeli attack on Iran.
The Iraqi Premier reaffirmed his country's unequivocal rejection of any violation of its sovereignty and airspace, adding that these actions are a blatant breach to international law.
Al Sudani expressed Iraq's support for the foreign ministers of Islamic countries to convene in Istanbul to go over recent developments.
In turn, Erdogan expressed his country's support for Iraq's sovereignty and the Iraqi government's efforts to protect its territory and avoid being drawn into the conflict. (QNA)
