Love Island is right around the corner, with the season set to start on June 9, and we have put together the ideal list of famous Irish faces that we would love to see join this year's lineup of sexy singletons.
We are looking for a second coming of the reality TV magic our gal Maura Higgins created, and we think we have created the perfect concoction of Irish stars that would be a perfect addition to the show.
Love Island scouts, if you are listening, here are some famous Irish faces who would bring the craic (agus ceol, in some cases) to the villa...
Brooke Scullion
Brooke Scullion is an obvious choice for the villa. She has the perfect look to fit right into Love Island life, with a bubbly personality to match.
Not to mention that the Virgin Media star is well-versed in the Love Island world, as her best friend is season eight Welsh beauty, Paige Thorne, so at least she will have a pal to get advice from.
The 26-year-old is no stranger to a bikini picture or two, and as a seasoned singer, she would have a performance prepped for the talent show (we don't want a repeat of Millie Court's piano playing saga!)
Doireann Ní Ghlacáin
Why not add a little bit of Gaeilge into the mix? We think that 'How To Gael' star Doireann Ní Ghlacáin would be great in the villa, and could teach her fellow islanders a thing or two about the Irish language.
The Clontarf lady has been vocal about crushes in the past, so show creators would have a good idea of who to pair her with (Fontaines DC's Grian Chatten perhaps). She is always up for the craic when chatting with her gal pals Louise Cantillon and Síomha Ní Ruairc.
Doireann's particular set of skills would help add an Irish flair to the show, and could potentially sneak a little bit of Gaelic into the annual list of islander jargon, while her fiddle playing would be a great asset come talent show time.
Kevin Twomey
Kevin Twomey is the perfect candidate to bring into the villa if you are looking for a little bit of Irish humour and charm. The 'I'm Grand Mam' presenter is another person who is very vocal about what he wants in a man, and so it will be easier for producers to find his match.
As a dancer himself, the Cork native would definitely ace the heart-rate challenge, which is something the Irish haven't famously come out on top of over the years.
Also, since he has set up home in London, he could attend the post-Love Island events without having to hop on a plane.
Joanne McNally
Okay, hear us out on this one, but we think Joanne McNally would make for some amazing reality television. The funny woman would definitely be the voice of reason in the villa, and would dish out doses of realism to anyone getting too big for their boots.
If we are lucky, the comedian could even break the fourth wall, and give us some Jim from The Office style stares down the camera as the drama unfolds.
Joanne is also fond of a sunny holiday abroad, and an eligible bachelor, and so Love Island would likely be right up her street. It's a match made in heaven!
Mack Hansen
We saw how successful Olympian Greg O'Shea was on Love Island back in 2019, when he won the season alongside Amber Gill, so why not send another rugby star?
While Mack Hansen isn't exactly Irish himself, he represents the country pretty well, and that's good enough for us. Being Australian, the athlete will do well in the sunshine, which is likely a serious concern for contestants heading in.
Heading into a villa filled with single ladies would work out well for Mack, since he can't exactly use dating apps. He recently revealed that he was banned from Hinge for life, though he is unsure what exactly happened. More reason to enter Love Island!
Jack Keating
Jack Keating was robbed of airtime when he appeared in Casa Amor in 2022, and so we think it's high time we get a re-run. We got a glimpse of his 'grafting' when he attempted to chat Tasha Ghouri up, and Irish fans are hungry for more!
Now that the reality star is newly single, it's the perfect time for him to return to Love Island!
Here is to hoping we see him return this year...it wouldn't be the first time we saw a former contestant make a comeback!
Maura Higgins
We couldn't make our dream Irish Love Island list without mentioning the queen of the villa herself.
While the Longford lady has elevated to hosting status, thanks to her gig with Love Island US, we can still wish that she would make an appearance as a contestant.
Maura would be the biggest bombshell to shake the villa in its history, and as everyone's favourite former islander, the viewership would certainly skyrocket. Just something to think about producers...
