India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is playing for the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League. The 34-year-old right-handed batter was on fire for the Hardik Pandya-led side on Sunday (April 20) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After coming to bat at No. 3 in the 177-run chase against Chennai Super Kings, he faced 30 balls and, with the help of six fours and five sixes, scored 68 runs. Surya added 114 runs for the second wicket with Rohit Sharma and helped MI chase down the target in 15.4 overs for the loss of only one wicket. Like Surya, Rohit was also on fire for MI on Sunday, and he remained unbeaten on 76 runs from 45 balls. During his stay at the crease, Rohit hammered four fours and six sixes, and in the process, he also moved to the No. 2 position in the list of leading run-getters in the IPL.
