With France leading the competition, Ireland will probably need to upset Italy and pray for favorable outcomes elsewhere. After defeating Wooden Spoon opponents Wales in round two, Italy has faltered and has since suffered crushing defeats to England and Les Bleus. The Azzurri would, however, win many games in consecutive Six Nations campaigns for the first time if they could surprise Ireland for the first time in over ten years.
