Fans of Dancing on Ice have issued the same complaint just minutes after one of the stars performed. The ITV skating show returned on Sunday (February 16) with six celebrities still in the running to be crowned this year's champion. The remaining contestants battling it out to take home the trophy include EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, former footballer Anton Ferdinand, The Traitors star Mollie Pearce and TOWIE star Dan Edgar. Each couple are performing again as part of 80's week, as well as participating in a group dance in a bid to impress viewers at home as well as judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean. But viewers of the ITV show weren't happy after Dan's latest performance to Faith by George Michael, where he resembled the iconic star. After being scored 9.5 out of 10 from each of the four judges, fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to say that the 34-year-old reality TV star had been 'overmarked'. Writing on X, @Cocobay_Rum wrote: "These scores on #dancingonice are bloody ridiculous. That skate of Dan’s was NOT worth 9.5." @BLUEFL4GS complained: "are we watching the same routines… 9.5s… #Dancingonice like that was not a 9.5 routine i’m sorry they are just giving out these numbers for no reason." @SandieJ3 wrote: "What?!! Dan & Vanessa was not worth 9.5's Judge's over marking again! #DancingOnIce," as @Thomasstevens00 stated: "Dan is one of the most overscored contestants this show has ever had…. #DancingOnIce." Comparing Dan's score to his fellow contestants, @fansvfavourites said: "If Dan got 9.5s then Mollie should’ve got 10s…. that was so much better than his #DancingOnIce." @RyanTheSoapking also said: "No way was that a 9.5??? Michaela is so much better then Dan. #DancingOnIce," as @suzysasha added: "#dancingonice How on earth did Mollie get lower scores than Dan. She skated beautifully! If anyone deserved the 9.5 tonight so far it was her." @fansvfavourites also noted: "okay but dan had more mistakes than both charlie and michaela and it was vanessa that did all the tricks, he just stayed on two feet for the whole dance…. but sure lets give him 9.5s #DancingOnIce."
