Laura Woods will once again front ITV's broadcast of the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Crystal Palace this afternoon, having become a mainstay for the channel's football coverage in recent years. The 37-year-old is now one of the most recognisable faces in sports presenting, having also worked for Sky Sports, talkSPORT and TNT Sports. Away from the screen though, things haven't all been straightforward for the presenter from Dagenham. Here's what you need to know. Laura began her career by studying print journalism at Kingston University. After graduation, she secured a position at Sky Sports as a runner, gradually progressing to an editorial assistant role before transitioning into production. Initially, she presented behind-the-scenes interviews for darts on the broadcaster's YouTube channel, before landing a spot on the Saturday morning children's programme, Game Changers. She then transitioned to reporting on the NFL and working for the Soccer AM online presenting team, before making her mark in the industry as a Super Sunday pitch-side reporter. Now, due to her punditry work and various television appearances, the TNT Sports and ITV star has accumulated a substantial net worth. The television presenter and journalist, who has become one of the nation's favourite presenters often fronting Champions League coverage, now boasts an estimated net worth of around £2million – a figure that ranks her among the UK's wealthiest hosts. While there is no official figure on the amount Woods is earning at TNT, having helped cover the Paris Olympics after the Euros, it is said to be a significant pay rise from her old £250k-a-year talkSPORT contract, having left the radio station to join the TV channel. Away from presenting, Woods has found love with former Love Island star Adam Collard. The pair began dating in 2023, with Adam revealing that it was he who initially slid into the presenter's DMs. Last July, Woods announced she was pregnant - just weeks after working on the 2024 European Championships. The pair then got engaged in September, with Woods giving birth to their son, Leo Ernie Collard, in January. Woods was previously in a relationship with rugby star Alex Corbisiero for eight years, with the pair parting ways as she faced her milestone 30th birthday. Speaking candidly with The Sun, Laura explained why she had no regrets about the split with the former England and Lions star, which she says had been her decision. "My last relationship was eight years and I was nearing 30 when we broke up," she said. "It was my decision – it was the right one and I’ve never regretted it. We'd lived in each other's pockets and breaking up with him felt like coming up for air. "The next thing for us was probably marriage and having kids. And I do want that one day – I love being in love and I love kids. But I've prioritised work because I love that too and my ambitions are important to me." Woods has had to deal with the downsides that come with being a public figure. Ahead of welcoming her first child, she was harassed for two years by a female football fan who sent her unwanted deliveries including an STI testing kit. Woods was left living in “real fear” during the campaign of harassment by Harneet Kaur, who has now been jailed. The Liverpool fan had become infatuated with Laura and harassed her over a two year period. A family friend revealed Harneet was originally trying to contact Woods over promoting an eating app. But, that turned to harassment with Harneet sending terrifying threats to kill her dog and sending Bibles, sexual health tests and food orders to the Wood's London home. In a victim impact statement, Woods said the harassment campaign had an "enormous and devastating" effect on her. Messages posted by Harneet online called Woods a "vile, stuck-up person", a "Tory", and even labelled her a "former prostitute who slept herself into a job". Harneet was arrested in April 2022 and re-arrested in August later the same year. Her phone and iPad were seized both times, but the arrests failed to stop Harneet harassing Woods. Sentencing her to 14 months in prison, the Judge said Harneet would have known the impact she was having on Woods. Last year, Woods also revealed she had received death threats after she commented on the gender row involving Olympic boxers Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting. Woods had supported an article online which questioned the decision to allow both Khelif and Yu-ting, who both won gold, to compete - with the article claiming it placed women in "unnecessary danger" Shortly after, Woods said she received a slew of abuse online, including death threats against herself and her unborn baby. "Since I replied to this article, I've had numerous death threats to myself and my unborn child," she said. She added there had been "calls for my employers to sack me, threats to my home" as well as explicit abuse. "I've been called a racist, a bigot and a sexist as well as various insults - c***, sl*g etc," she added.
