MUNSTER RUGBY revealed that they have no update on a new contract for Ireland star Jack Crowley. The out-half is out of contract this summer with the URC province, and there remains no news about an extension. Leinster star Sam Prendergast was favoured over Munster’s Crowley for all but one of this year's Six Nations fixtures. And reports fuelled that the 25-year-old might pack in Irish rugby altogether in favour of making £600k per year deal with Leicester Tigers. Munster skills coach Mossy Lawler said there was no update on Jack Crowley's contract situation. Speaking on RTE Radio, Lawler said: "Yeah, look, no update on Jack yet, but it’s something from a rugby department point of view we haven’t focused on. "Jack has come in this week full of beans like he always is, ready to play. "We’re just worrying about Jack Crowley the rugby player as opposed to what happens off the pitch." The Munster coach was then asked if there was a timeline for an update, but he couldn't confirm. He concluded: "Unfortunately not. Hopefully it will be imminent that we get news soon but look - as I say - I know everybody wants to know but we are just focussing on the game ahead. "Jack will obviously be involved this week so that will be our focal point." Munster face interprovincial rivals Connacht this Saturday in the United Rugby Championship. Crowley was among several returning internationals this week, alongside Conor Murray, Tadhg Beirne, Peter O'Mahony and Calvin Nash, all of whom were rested following Ireland’s Six Nations campaign. In further good news for Munster, Craig Casey, Jean Kleyn, Jack O'Donoghue and Thaakir Abrahams have also returned to full training after spells on the sidelines through injury.
