Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter suggested for a massive honor in the future before he's even played his first snaps in the NFL

ESPN names Travis Hunter as a top option to represent the USA in the 2028 Olympics on their flag football team
"Necessary skills: Field vision, pattern matching, transition speed, ball skills/playmaking traitsThere's no way Hunter wasn't going to be on this list, as Team USA can easily build in a package on offense for the two-way star. Still, Hunter's main role in the Olympics would be on the defensive side of the ball, where he can bring a playmaking element to the field.Hunter, who had nine interceptions over three college seasons, has elite ball skills and the coverage instincts to create turnovers for the U.S. He can get a jump on throws and take the ball away. Plus, interceptions can still be returned for touchdowns in flag football -- don't be surprised if Hunter sprints one back to the house."- ESPN's Building the best 2028 Olympics U.S. flag football roster
ESPN's Matt Bowen built his ideal United States Flag Football roster for the 2028 Olympics. He named five defensive players: Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons, Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean, Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Antoine Winfield Jr., Denver Broncos CB Pat Surtain, and Jaguars CB (and WR) Travis Hunter. At the moment, Hunter hasn't played a single snap in the NFL, but by 2028, he will be 25 years old and could very well be starting or already in his prime.Hunter's rare ability to play on both sides of the ball at a high level helped him win the Heisman, become the second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and has now made him a top option to potentially represent the United States of America in the 2028 Olympics. And why wouldn't he? He's a walking cheat code. The Jaguars having a representative during the first ever flag football event in the Olympics would be an incredible sight to see. The Jaguars knew Hunter was going to be a must watch affair, which is what led them to make such an aggressive move to trade up for his services. And I think the entire world would enjoy watching him make plays on both sides of the ball as he competes to hopefully win gold for the USA.
