James Anderson Picks Seven Aussies In His WTC Final XI, Soon Disapproves It

On Tuesday, former England cricketer James Anderson picked his playing XI for the Australia vs South Africa World Test Championship final, only to realise he had picked too many Australians in the XI, saying that he disapproves of it in a hilarious admission.
The summit clash began on Wednesday at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground as Australia look to defend their title and create history by winning the coveted mace twice.
Anderson picked the Aussie duo of Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja to open the innings, while picking Aiden Markram at No. 3 instead of Cameron Green. Watch the video here:

Aussies dominated the middle order, with all three of Steve Smith, Travis Head and Alex Carey walking into the team over Temba Bavuma, Tristan Stubbs and Kyle Verreynne.
In terms of the bowling unit, Anderson made a bold call by opting for Kagiso Rabada and leaving out Mitchell Starc.
“It’s a lot of Aussies in there. I don’t like it at all,” Anderson said while speaking to Cricket District.
South Africa are in the hunt for their first ICC title since the 1998 Knockout Trophy. They had finished sixth in the maiden World Test Championship cycle, while missing out on the finals in the second cycle by a whisker.
“The main one for me will be Rabada against Steve Smith, and I think that could be a really good, interesting battle. Steve Smith is one of the best batters in the world, and Kagiso Rabada is one of my favourite bowlers to watch,” Anderson had earlier said during an interaction for the DP World Beyond Boundaries event at the Lord’s.
“I think he’s got so many attributes that just make me want to tune into the TV and watch him. He’s a fantastic player, so I’m looking forward to that battle,” Anderson had added.
Meanwhile, Rabada took two wickets in an over to reduce reigning champions Australia to 16/2 in a dramatic start to the World Test Championship final at Lord’s on Wednesday.
