Legendary England fast bowler James Anderson is playing for Lancashire in the T20 Blast 2025. In his first T20 match after more than 10 years, currently underway against Durham at Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street, the 42-year-old fast bowler picked up three wickets for 17 runs in four overs. He opened his wicket account by getting opening batter Graham Clark caught out by Chris Green on the fifth ball of the third over of the match and then got rid of Durham captain Alex Lees on the last ball of the fifth over. Lees scored 16 runs from 16 balls before being caught by Lancashire captain Keaton Jennings. On the fifth ball of his last over of the match, Anderson dismissed Colin Ackermann. The 34-year-old right-handed batter was caught by Charlie Barnard after making 18 runs from 22 balls. The video of Anderson’s first wicket in T20s after 3935 days was shared on X by Vitality Blast’s official handle, and within no time, the clip went viral on the internet.
