Travis Kelce has always been known for his fun-loving and larger-than-life personality but he has been through a transformation in the recent past. According to his brother, Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star has experienced significant changes in his personality since he started dating Taylor Swift. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed. In a recent chat, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jason Kelce recalled the Travis of old, particularly his unconventional interior design choices and marvelled at how much he’s grown over the past year and a half. “It’s been staggering, honestly,” Jason admitted on the Fitz & Whit podcast, reflecting on the changes he’s observed. Fitzpatrick recalled, “He legitimately had a basketball hoop in his living room. And a pool table, I don’t think he had any couches.” It’s safe to say, Travis once fully embraced the ultimate bachelor pad aesthetic. Jason, never one to shy away from good-natured teasing, described his younger brother as a real-life Peter Pan. “One of the things I love so much about Travis is that he never grew up. He was like Peter Pan and the Lost Boys,” he said. But when asked if Travis has finally started to embrace adulthood, Jason was quick to acknowledge the shift. “For sure. It’s changing. I think sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you and that’s a good thing,” he noted, subtly alluding to Swift’s influence without mentioning her by name. Still, Jason assured fans that while Travis may have evolved, he hasn’t lost his signature spark. “Trav, he is growing up,” Jason said. “He’s still got, though, that youthful enthusiasm. I think he’ll always have that. It’s just part of his personality… Anyone that’s ever met Trav, you can’t help but just love the guy. He’s a free spirit in the best possible way.” Watch the interview here: Both Swift and Kelce, 35, are enjoying some much-needed downtime after hectic schedules. Taylor recently wrapped her record-breaking Eras Tour in December and Travis finished his 12th NFL season with a hard-fought Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month. As Travis’ relationship with Swift deepened, he also made a major lifestyle change, reportedly purchasing a luxury mansion in Kansas City in October 2023. The sprawling 17,000-square-foot estate, complete with a waterfall, swimming pool and mini golf course, is nestled inside a gated community, offering the privacy the couple needed as their romance flourished. Since then, their relationship has only strengthened. Most recently, the pair were seen together at Super Bowl 2025, supporting each other despite the Chiefs’ loss. Now, they’re taking some well-earned time to unwind and, if Jason’s observations are any indication, Travis may just be stepping into a whole new era of his own.
