Jet2 has announced new flights and city breaks to Italy in the European Union after "demand". Jet2 , which flies from Birmingham , has announced additional flights to Rome for rugby fans attending the 2026 Six Nations tournament. Jet2 has made the decision ahead of the Italy v Scotland fixture on Saturday, February 7 and the Italy v England match on Saturday, March 7. The airline said it had "responded immediately to the demand from rugby fans looking to head to the Italian capital". CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, said: "The Six Nations is a highlight in the sporting calendar, so our flights to Rome for next year's fixtures are proving to be incredibly popular. "As always, we have responded quickly and put on sale additional capacity to the city, to provide customers and independent travel agents with even more choice. "Rugby fans will want to experience the Six Nations live, and we are offering them the chance to do just that through either a flight with Jet2.com or a city break with Jet2CityBreaks." England will begin their campaign by hosting Wales on Saturday 7 February before travelling to Murrayfield to face Scotland and then welcoming Ireland to Twickenham. Steve Borthwick’s side then face consecutive away matches, against Italy and then France in the final match on Super Saturday. The tournament will kick off on a Thursday night for the first time in the competition’s history, with the defending champions, France, hosting Ireland. There will be one less fallow week, meaning the tournament is completed over six weeks, NOT seven. Ireland host the only Friday night match of the championship, against Wales in round four of the competition.
