Srinagar: A cloudburst in the Ghati area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Sunday morning killed four people and injured several others, according to officials.The incident damaged multiple houses, a local police station, a railway track, and sections of the National Highway in Janglot and nearby areas.The officials said rescue operations are ongoing to clear debris and assist affected families.Earlier this week, a catastrophic cloudburst in Chositi, a remote village in J&K's eastern Kishtwar distric, claimed at least 65 lives, including two CISF personnel, and injured over 150. Several people remain missing.The August 14 disaster caused massive flash floods, burying homes, shops, temples, a community kitchen, and vehicles in mud and debris. A bridge crowded with Hindu pilgrims visiting Chandi Mata temple in Machail village during the annual yatra was also swept away, contributing to the high casualty count.
