John Abraham, who has been in the industry for more than two decades, recently shared a funny memory from his first film’s muhurat. He was refused entry because he arrived on a bike! The film was Aetbaar, directed by Vikram Bhatt, produced by Ratan Tata, and starring Amitabh Bachchan.
In a recent Filmfare interview, John Abraham shared a funny memory from his early career. He said, “When I went for my first muhurat shot, I went on a motorcycle. The film was Aetbaar. Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan were clapping the board for me. Hrithik and I were classmates, he is a sweetheart. I was not allowed in, because I was on a motorcycle. The gates were shut and they asked me, ‘Kaun ho?’ (Who are you?) I said, ‘The muhurut is for my film’ and they finally allowed me. As soon as they opened the gates, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan were gesturing at me and saying, ‘Come in’.”
John Abraham is well-known for his love for bikes. He owns several high-end motorcycles. His garage includes notable superbikes such as the Suzuki Hayabusa, Yamaha V-Max 60th Anniversary, Kawasaki ZX-14R, Honda CBR 1000RR, Aprilia RSV4 RF, Yamaha YZF-R1, Ducati Panigale V4, and BMW S1000 RR.
In the same interview, the actor revealed that he gets upset when anyone touches his bikes. He said, “If someone puts a finger on my bike, I get offended. Irrespective of the bond, I judge them. I take good care of my bikes, I nurture them.”
Meanwhile, he’s currently seen in The Diplomat, a political thriller film directed by Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah. The film, starring John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb, is set against the backdrop of India–Pakistan relations, exploring themes of diplomacy and the personal conflicts faced by diplomats.
The Diplomat brings a gripping real-life story to the big screen, following Indian diplomat J.P. Singh as he faces a high-stakes international crisis. When Uzma Ahmed arrives at the Indian embassy claiming she was abducted and forced into marriage in Pakistan, Singh finds himself in a tense battle of diplomacy, legal hurdles, and political pressure.
