John Cena has broken his silence with a cryptic message after WWE star Nikki Bella's 'amazing' reaction to his dramatic heel turn. The Champ stunned the wrestling world at Elimination Chamber earlier this month as he shed his baby face persona. Cena beat CM Punk to book his place at WrestleMania 41 before turning on Cody Rhodes and siding with The Rock . Nikki and Brie Bella were recently asked about Cena’s heel turn and how huge it was for the industry. Nikki and Cena previously started dating in 2012 before getting engaged in 2017, with Cena proposing following their match at WrestleMania 33. The duo called off their engagement in April 2018. Speaking with TK Trinidad for Women’s Wrestling Talk at the “Queen of the Ring” premiere, Nikki and Brie Bella were asked about John Cena’s new pathway. Brie noted that she was happy to see it. She said: “About time. I’m actually really happy because this is his farewell year, and I didn’t know if he would give it or not, and so I love it. The way it was done, I mean, chef’s kiss.” Nikki chimed in by saying that the heel turn was done very well. She also stated that it was a gift for the fans. “It was done so well,” Nikki said. “I think too, and your farewell tour, and turn into a character that the fans have wanted for so long, it’s not only gonna be fun for him, but how great for the fans. It’s like a gift he’s giving, and I think it’s so cool. It was amazing.” On Monday, Cena took to his X account to send a cryptic message to all those who doubt the authenticity of his dark turn. He posted: "Life is not a spectator sport. Play accordingly." Cena has yet to speak in public since his heel turn with UK Netflix viewers eagerly anticipating Monday Night Raw on March 11 to see if he will make an appearance.
