WWE fans at Glasgow Hydro will likely see wrestling icons John Cena and Cody Rhodes lock horns for the first time since their WrestleMania 41 showdown was confirmed. The Champ and the American Nightmare will be in the building for Monday Night Raw on Monday, March 24. And the crowd, and the millions watching on Netflix , are expecting nothing more that some unexpected twists and dramatic turns. The pair were in an intense face-to-face on Raw in Brussels, Belgium on Monday. The leader of the 'Cenation' took the microphone in his hand and also attacked the WWE Universe for the first time in his career, testifying to his willingness to do everything possible to come out of Mania 41 with his 17th world wrestling title. And now WWE has teased that the pair will cross paths once again as the wrestling juggernaut takes over Scotland. A WWE spokesperson said: "After the intense face-to-face on Raw last week, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and John Cena will once again be under the same roof when Raw comes to Glasgow, Scotland this Monday." The enemies have been destined for a WrestleMania match, to contest the Undisputed WWE Championship, ever since Cena aligned with The Rock the Elimination Chamber 2025 and betrayed Rhodes in front of a stunned crowd. And excited pros are now expecting Cena to address Rhodes directly in their upcoming face-to-face meeting. Ex-WWE Champion Big E thinks Cena could reveal more about his heel turn in Glasgow. He said: “Yeah, man. It's two masters of the mic. Two guys who know themselves through and through. "It's this new version of John Cena. Again, that's not the only layer. I know there is another layer of Cena that needs to be peeled back. So, I can't wait for Monday.” WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, meanwhile, offered a different creative direction from WWE’s current approach. Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff said: “What could be the most different narrative and tone that this version of John Cena has? "I’d lean into ‘less is more,’ at least initially. I’d weigh in heavily on kind of mysterious, don’t be definitive, don’t come out and tell me week one why." The former WCW President stressed the importance of suspense, believing it could heighten interest in Cena’s new persona. “You’ve already left me hanging, you’ve kind of planted that hook,” he said. “Leave it in as long as you can.” Fellow WWE legend and former commentator Jerry Lawler revealed his theory behind Cena's heel turn motives. “I think I know one of the reasons is because he wanted that place that he had, for years and years and years, he had that spot in WWE that now Cody Rhodes has,” he said. “I think he was jealous of that. Not that he would come out and say it, but I believe that, deep down, he likes that spot. [Apter says Cena wants to be the star]. Yes, exactly.” WWE Monday Night Raw takes place on Monday March 24 at The Hydro in Glasgow. Doors open at 6.30pm.
