Hooters may be struggling financially, but it clearly has no intention of going down without a fight. Proof of that is that it has just extended its sponsorship deal with John Daly, arguably the most recognizable of its ambassadors. The announcement was made by the restaurant chain itself, adding that the extension of its relationship with Daly will be for two years. The two-time major champion will continue to participate in promotional events and wear the brand's logo."No matter how I play on the golf course, I always enjoy having a round with wings at Hooters," Daly said on the sponsorship extension."It's a place that feels like family, and I'm proud to keep reppin' a brand that knows how to grip it, rip it, and have a good time. We've got wings, cold drinks—including a few Good Boy Vodka cocktails with my name on 'em—and the best fans in the world. Let's go another round."Hooters Chief Marketing Officer Bruce Skala highlighted the alignment between Daly and the brand:"We love John's ability to keep on swinging and perpetually keep his eye on the win," he said. "His larger-than-life personality and authenticity makes him the perfect fit for Hooters. We are ecstatic our renewed pairing with John brings Hooters fans and guests another round of fun."John Daly's relationship with Hooters has been longstanding and has deepened over the years to the point that the player's longtime fiancée, Anna Cladakis, worked for the company for a number of years.Hooters also sponsors Daly's son through a NIL contract. John Daly II signed with the brand in 2022 after joining the University of Arkansas golf team. The iconic 59-year-old also uses Hooters locations for many of his business activities.
