Jordan Spieth's summer has been like a roller coaster ride on the golf course. The 3-time major winner withdrew mid-round from the Travelers Championship last month due to a sudden neck injury. That continued pain also forced him to skip the Genesis Scottish Open, which announced Chris Gotterup as the winner on Sunday. The Travelers setback marked the 13-time PGA Tour winner's first career withdrawal in 297 PGA Tour starts. But not all news is grim! While Rory McIlroy was battling Clark and Gotterup at the Renaissance Club, Spieth shared a personal milestone that lit up social media."We added a new member to the foursome – Sully Spieth! Everyone is doing great," he posted on Instagram, announcing the birth of his third child. The photo featured newborn Sully, joining siblings Sammy and Sophie, and wife Annie Spieth.Known for his warmth around kids and family-first approach, Spieth's bond with his children has often been visible, whether walking the Par-3 contest at Augusta or sharing quiet moments off the course. With Sully's arrival, that connection deepens."I've got a couple little kids, another one on the way, and, you know, so obviously perspectives change, what priorities change in the course of life."I get to have my son and daughter out on the par-three tomorrow... it's just forever till I have kids out here," Jordan said earlier this season when asked about balancing golf and fatherhood. Now, Sully is officially part of the foursome. The timing of the announcement comes just days before the 153rd Open Championship, set to begin July 17 at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.Earlier this week, Spieth confirmed he'll be a "late arrival" but is "back to full strength" and has "no restrictions" heading into the final major of the season. His history at The Open holds a strong stat, including the 2017 win at Royal Birkdale, a runner-up finish in 2021, and five top-10s in his 11 starts.More Golf: Tiger Woods' son, Charlie, follows dad's footsteps at TPC Sawgrass
