Kagiso Rabada is on fire for South Africa in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final, which is currently underway at Lord’s in London against Australia. The premier pacer opened the bowling attack for the Proteas on Wednesday (June 11) after their captain, Temba Bavuma, opted to bowl first. The 30-year-old fast bowler from Johannesburg didn’t concede any runs in the first three overs of the match, and then on the third ball of the fourth over, removed Australian opening batter Usman Khawaja.
Khawaja, who is Australia’s leading run getter in the WTC 2023-25 cycle, faced 20 balls during his stay at the crease but failed to open his account. He was caught by David Bedingham in the first slip.
After Khawaja’s dismissal, all-rounder Cameron Green came out to bat at No. 3, and he opened his account with a first-ball four. But on the last ball of the seventh over of Australia’s first inning, he handed a routine catch to Aiden Markram in the second slip for 4 runs from three balls.
The video of two dismissals in one over was shared by ICC on X, and within no time the clip went viral on the internet.

Rabada is South Africa’s leading wicket-taker in World Test Championship history, and he will be a key player for the WTC 2023-25 table toppers in the remainder of the match as well.
