Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan have finally buried their old hatchets. They are not only collaborating on a new film but also hosted the recent IIFA Awards. In one segment, Kartik and Karan promoted their new film by indulging in a rap battle and taking subtle digs at each other’s work before teasing their new film. During his wrap, Karan Johar said, “Tum ho naye student main evergreen faculty, let me introduce you to the real real royalty. Khans and Kapoors are still the OG guys, aaj kal ke hero dekho stealing their franchise!” Karan Johar even called himself a ‘Kingmaker’ in Bollywood.

Anushka Sharma took to Instagram recently to drop a cryptic note about how different versions of ourselves can exist in the minds of others. She wrote that while we might have an image of ourselves, our family or co-workers might perceive us differently. The post comes soon after Virat Kohli’s interview in Bangalore, where he expressed his disappointment with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s recent diktat limiting how much time men’s cricketers’ families can spend with them on international tours. He felt that these rules are being brought on by people who don’t understand what the presence of families means to the players, saying that ‘maybe’ such rule-makers ‘need to be kept away’.

Journalist and author Hussain Zaidi opened up about the close relationships between Bollywood stars and don Dawood Ibrahim. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Hussain said that Dawood would host top Indian celebrities in Dubai and would fund their films with black money. Malaika Arora is currently judging the second season of the popular television programme Hip Hop India. Recently, an unexpected incident unfolded during the dance show. A young contestant, while performing, directed suggestive gestures towards Arora, making her visibly uncomfortable. The incident, captured on video, has since gone viral. In the footage, Arora can be heard reprimanding the 16-year-old boy, demanding his mother’s phone number. She expresses her astonishment, questioning his audacious behaviour despite his young age. “He is winking. He is giving flying kisses,” she says. The other contestants also deemed the boy’s actions incorrect. A dancer said, “It was right to scold him. He did it in front of her?”
