@Source: mirror.co.uk
Katie Taylor is expected to see her net worth sore yet again after her third showdown with long-time rival Amanda Serrano. The boxing stars are once again set to make history as they headline a stacked all-women's boxing card at Madison Square Garden in New York. Taylor holds all the bragging rights after emerging victorious in the first two outings. The Bray brawler edged a stunning split decision victory in the first clash back in 2022 . Taylor and Serrano met for a second time last November on the undercard of Jake Paul's heavyweight dust-up with Mike Tyson . Once again, the Irish star scored a victory on points . Following their two iconic fights, many fans believed Serrano did enough to at least win one fight. That said, as they meet again on Friday night, Taylor and Serrano are set to earn record-setting paydays. According to the 'Real Deal,' both she and the undisputed super lightweight champion will be getting the biggest paydays of their careers this time around. Taylor - an Olympic gold medallist - is reported to have a net worth in the region of $5million (£3.6m). However, it looks set to be much higher after she pocketed $6.1m (£4.4m) from her second showdown with Serrano - even after accounting for the tax and other deductibles due on that fee. Throughout her illustrious career so far, Taylor has put pen-to-paper on a whole host of lucrative sponsorships, including brand deals with the Bank of Ireland, Toyota, Sky, Adidas and Lucozade. Last month, it was announced that the Irish star penned a multi-year deal with Champion. The partnership includes a limited-edition KT Reverse Weave t-shirt which pays tribute to her extraordinary career, as well as a bespoke fight kit and team gear for the Serrano encounter “Every boxer dreams of being a Champion and I was no different as a child. I've been lucky enough to realise those dreams over the years in the amateurs at world level and the Olympics and now as a professional boxer in becoming a two weight Undisputed Champion so to partner with Champion just seems like the perfect fit,” said Taylor. She continued: “Champion is such an iconic brand and known around the world. It has such a rich history in sport going back over one hundred years so it's fantastic to partner with them. I'm really excited to be hands-on in helping to develop Champion's boxing range by drawing on my own experience in the sport and helping to create a product range that lives up to the Champion name and our shared values.” The historic showdown is set to take place at the Madison Square Garden in New York. The main undercard is due to get underway at around 1am BST on Saturday (5pm PT / 7pm CT / 8pm ET on Friday). In the main event, Serrano will make the walk to the ring first at around 4am BST on Saturday (8pm PT / 10pm CT / 11pm ET on Friday) with Taylor set to follow immediately after. The two stars will then touch gloves just after 4:20am BST before the first bell sounds. It is set to be broadcast live on Netflix . For boxing fans, Taylor's mouthwatering trilogy showdown with Serrano will come at no additional cost to Netflix subscription holders. If you don't hold a Netflix subscription, packages start from £5.99 / $7.99 per month, with the most expensive membership priced at £18.99 / $24.99.
