Drake and Kendrick Lamar, two of the biggest names in music, have been making headlines not just with their hit songs but also with their ongoing rivalry. While Lamar took centre stage at the 2025 Super Bowl, fans were left wondering where his rap rival Drake was. It turns out that while Lamar was performing, the Hotline bling singer was in Melbourne, Australia, performing for his fans as part of his Anita Max Win tour. The rapper began his tour on February 4, just days after Lamar won five Grammys for his diss track Not Like Us.
The Canada-born singer will be busy with his Australia tour until March 16, while Lamar enjoys his success. As per the video circulating online from the tour, the rapper closed the show by saying, “My name is Drake, I started doing music in 2008. I come all the way from Toronto, Canada. The year is now 2025 and no matter what, Drizzy Drake is very much alive and that’s all thanks to you.”

During his Super Bowl performance, Kendrick Lamar continued to take digs at Drake while performing Not Like Us. The track, which accuses Drake of inappropriate behaviour with children has become a fan favourite. The audience was heard shouting the lyrics loudly, showing their support for Lamar. His performance only added fuel to the ongoing feud between the two rappers.

Drake has not yet commented on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy wins, but his father, Dennis Graham, shared his thoughts in a recent interview with a TikToker. When asked about the situation, He said, “I don’t care nothing about that. That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bulls.” He mentioned that he enjoyed this year’s Grammy Awards and thought the event was “excellent.”

Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s rivalry started more than a year ago when Drake and J Cole released First Person Shooter, while Lamar released Not Like Us. Since then, both rappers have made various diss tracks, keeping their feud alive. Meanwhile, Drake is not just performing in Australia but will also be heading to Auckland, New Zealand, as part of his Anita Max Win Tour. These concerts are special for fans in the region, as it marks Drake’s return after his Boy Meets World Tour in 2017. His current tour comes a year after It’s All A Blur tour.
