Kia India has officially launched its first made-in-India electric vehicle the Carens Clavis EV at an introductory price of Rs 17.99 lakh. It is designed with modern edge technology advanced safety features and practical performance with affordability. It positioned itself as India’s first Electric Recreational Vehicle (RV). Carens Clavis EV Features It has dual battery options with fast charging The Carens Clavis EV is offered in two battery configurations: 51.4 kWh (ARAI-certified 490 km range MIDC) 42 kWh (ARAI-certified 404 km range MIDC) Both variants support 100kW DC fast charging with 10% to 80% charge in just 39 minutes. It is equipped with a liquid-cooled thermal management system and an IP67-certified battery pack the vehicle is engineered for durability across India’s varied weather conditions. Carens Clavis Motor & Interior The EV delivers strong performance with two motor options 99kW and 126kW (255Nm torque). The top variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds maintaining responsive performance even with a full load of seven passengers. A Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function allows users to power appliances directly from the car. The Carens Clavis EV features a 67.62 cm dual panoramic display ventilated front seats dual-pane panoramic sunroof Smart Pure Air Purifier and 8-speaker Bose audio system with 64-color ambient lighting. Rear-seat comfort is available with Boss Mode one-touch electric tumble and ample space. Other highlights are a floating centre console shift-by-wire column gear and smart climate controls.
