Virat Kohli, on the other hand, needed 243 innings to complete 8000 runs in T20 cricket. The duo is followed by Shikhar Dhawan, who achieved the same feat in his 277th inning. The overall record of being the fastest batter to score 8000 runs in T20s is in the name of Chris Gayle. The former West Indies and RCB opener completed 8000 T20 runs in his 213rd inning.
