The Canadian GP would definitely be a race to forget for Lando Norris. Norris was on the trajectory to fight for a podium finish if it weren’t for his late-race collision with teammate Oscar Piastri. The 25-year-old remained extremely apologetic about the incident and took all the blame for the situation. Now, the Briton once again lambasts himself for his poor tactics in Montreal. Lando Norris, who is known to be too critical of his mistakes, can’t seem to stop committing them this year. The Briton who was once amongst the favorites to win the drivers’ title has taken a massive beating in his bid against his teammate, Oscar Piastri, in the standings. The DNF in the Canadian GP was definitely not in the cards for the 25-year-old as he walked out of the weekend with zero points earned. Lando Norris took complete blame for the incident and accepted his shortcomings on the track that ruined his own race. The 25-year-old pointed out that he treated McLaren as his own family and tried to give it his best both on and off the track. I did it because our number rule one is to not make contact with your team-mate, and it’s what I did, McLaren is my family. I race for them every single weekend, I try and do well for them, more than I often try and do well for myself. Lando Norris told media including RacingNews365 Norris never planned on causing such a massive accident, which cost him the entire race and incurred heavy damage to the car. Speaking of the disappointing contingencies in Canada, the Briton highlighted that he regretted making those mistakes, which cost the team dearly. As such, the 25-year-old will now look back at the blunders and ensure that he does not put the team under such a situation ever again. So when I let them down like this, and when I make fool of myself in a moment like today, yeah, I have a lot of regret for something like that. Lando Norris added Lando Norris opens up on ‘worst feeling’ after Canadian GP crash Lando Norris has now committed multiple big mistakes that have cost him a lot of points in his championship run.
