The world of professional wrestling has lost one of its most charismatic and enduring figures. Hulk Hogan, the larger than life legend who helped transform wrestling into a global spectacle, has died. He was 71. His death was confirmed on Wednesday by his representatives. Born Terry Gene Bollea on August 11, 1953, Hogan became a household name in the 1980s as the face of the World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE.
