Liverpool make first Alexander Isak transfer offer worth £120m - but Newcastle turn it down
@Source: mirror.co.uk
Liverpool have seen a bid for Alexander Isak rejected by Newcastle as the transfer saga involving the Magpies striker continues.
It's understood that the offer from the Premier League champions falls short of Newcastle's valuation of the player, which is around the £150million mark.
Mirror Football understands Liverpool's total package was worth £120m.
Liverpool are expected to continue pursuing a deal for the Sweden international, 25.
Isak has been training alone at the facilities of his former club, Real Sociedad, after he did not join Newcastle on their pre-season tour of South Korea.
Newcastle remain reluctant to sell their star striker, who plundered 23 goals in the Premier League last season. But with Isak keen to explore a move away and LIverpool now firming up their interest, the Magpies could have a fight on their hands.
