Liverpool have already agreed a £116 million deal for Florian Wirtz and are now on course to finalise their club-record move for the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder. But the Premier League champions are also looking to strengthen defensively and Kerkez has been identified as their top target at left-back. The 21-year-old has enjoyed two impressive seasons at Bournemouth and has also been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea. But Kerkez’s father insists a move to Liverpool in a reported £45m deal is the only plan for his son.
