Louis Rees-Zammit has revealed there is "a load of interest" in his services as the Welshman looks to confirm his future within the week after quitting the NFL on Thursday. The Wales winger posted on Instagram late in the evening confirming an "exciting" announcement that he would be leaving his adventure in American football and returning to the sport in which he made his name. The 24-year-old made the move across the Atlantic some 18 months ago, initially joining the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs before being cut and signing fresh terms with Jacksonville Jaguars, based in Florida. He was always up against it, however, trying to make his way in a totally new sport. A whole host of questions have now cropped up on what comes next for him. Rees-Zammit had done press interviews the last time he was in the UK stating the clock was ticking on his time in the NFL and he has now opened up on why he has chosen to make the move home. "In the last few weeks it's been in the back of my mind," he told Sky Sports News. "It's just one of those things you kind of think about and when it's on your mind you are thinking about it more and more. "Just the fact I grew up absolutely loving rugby, one of the best days of my life was playing for my country, my first cap for Wales, all those things go through your head and it just got to the point where I want to come back and I want to continue to play rugby. "The fact it is just such a flowing sport, you get involved so much, it was just something I wanted to come back to, to be honest with you. "Now I think it's the perfect time with the season coming up in the next month or so, trying to find a team for the next season, which me and my brother are going through now. "It's really exciting times and I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks trying to sort my future." The former Gloucester winger was then pushed on which teams were vying for him, but understandably he kept his counsel, only stating that there had been plenty of teams who have expressed an interest in signing him up. He and his brother Taylor, who appears to be acting as his agent, will be looking at what options there are and hope to have an answer in the next seven days. "Obviously I can't name teams, we've had a load of interest, which is unbelievable, I'm very grateful for that," he added. "We are still going through what the full plan is for me, obviously the season starts pretty soon, it's about finding the right team for me, in terms of location, how quick I've got to get into camp, because the season is right around the corner, all these things are going to happen pretty sharpish. "Me and my brother are going through negotiations and seeing teams interested is amazing, so we should find out in the next week or so."
