One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson may be dating Love Island's Zara McDermott - however, it appears that he wasn't too impressed with her series of the ITV2 show. Fans have unearthed comments from the singer, 33, in which he slams Zara's 2018 series and claims to "despise" the reality competition. Tweeting just two days after Zara's series came to an end, Louis tweeted: "Can I just say, thank f**k Love Island is over!" He also appeared on a podcast the following year, revealing that he has "no time for anyone on" Love Island. "I've got no time for Love Island. I absolutely despise that show," he said. "Do you know what's bad? One year, I got pulled in - this is my excuse anyway - I got pulled into watch it. Maybe I put out a few tweets about it. Honestly it's a tragic show. I've got no time for it or anyone on it." Fans were quick to share Louis' Love Island rant on social media amid rumours that he's now dating Zara McDermott, 28, seven years after she rose to fame on the ITV2 show. "I mean...what would Zara McDermott say about this," one fan wrote. Another said: "That didn't age well. Tell me it's a stunt without telling me it's a stunt." However, one viewer could sympathise with Louis' dislike of the show, writing: "What does him not liking the show matter? I don't like rugby but I wouldn't say no to a rugby player if I was single." Earlier this week, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott were spotted on a romantic date, with the reality star having recently split from presenter Sam Thompson after five years. Meanwhile, a friend of Zara's confirmed to the Daily Mail that "things seem to be moving pretty fast" between the new couple. "Zara is really happy and that's what matters the most – all anyone around her wants is to see her smiling," they added. As for Sam Thompson, the I'm A Celebrity presenter recently revealed on his podcast with Pete Wicks that he's not ready to move on just yet. "A lot of people look for validation in other people and they look for the next person instantly ... It's like, 'I need to find someone else to fill that hole and I need to find that excitement,'" he said. "You know when you get that excited feeling when you are talking to someone new and fresh? I can't do that."
