Louis Thompson admitted to being 'hysterical' as she watched her brother, Sam, get an emotional surprise as he pushes through the pain in an epic challenge for charity. The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner run and cycle 260 miles in order to deliver the match ball for Soccer Aid 2025, which takes place on Sunday, June 15, with the money raised going to Unicef. On Monday, the 32-year-old set off from Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium in London, the location of last year’s charity match in aid of Unicef, and ran a full marathon before cycling a further 23 miles to reach Milton Keynes. He will aim to end the challenge at Manchester United’s Old Trafford, which will host the 2025 game that Sam is due to play in but is currently battling a calf injury. Sam was joined at the start line by his sister Louise, her partner Ryan Libbey, his nephew Leo, and comedian Joel Dommett, who ran with him for the first 20km. And as the second day of the challenge on Tuesday (June 3) saw Sam take on the mammoth next stretch on bike only due to his injury, he was reunited with Ryan in a major boost for the reality star and presenter, leaving Louise in tears. A video on Instagram showed the moment Ryan cycled up alongside Sam, who had also been facing torrential rain on his challenge. The This Morning star and Staying Relevant podcast host was overcome with emotion and almost appeared relieved to see his brother-in-law, who offered him hugs and a pep talk when able to stop for a breather. The caption alongside the emotional clip on Sam's Instagram page read: "When family gets you through." Louise was quick to respond to the post, writing: "I am actually HYSTERICAL! "I couldn’t love two people more! (Well obviously Leo too! Well done champs !!! You’ve got me motivated to do hard things! And also go be open and vulnerable ! The connection here is a beautiful thing! We love love." Another version of the moment was also shared on Soccer Aid's Instagram account with the caption: "An emotional reunion. Sam’s brother in-law Ryan surprises him #MatchBallMission #SoccerAid." Louise then said: "He neeeeeded this so much!!!!! I am so relieved. Ryan is a rock to everyone around him and they have the best relationship and Sam needs all of your support right now, but especially the support of family." She then added: "I can’t stop watching this." Fans, meanwhile, were quick to show Sam their support as he got back on his feet on Wednesday morning (June 4) as he hobbled to take on his next marathon. @_staceyfay said: "Poor Sam he is really struggling, he will absolutely complete it no matter how bad he gets! What a cute amazing person he is." @saragalloway87 commented: "This mental strength is incredible. Well done Sam you should be incredibly proud of yourself." @croesygirl wrote: "Keep going Sam, you’re doing amazing…even more so, now that you must be hurting and aching in places you never knew you had!! Proud of you, you can do it." @sammy_jayne86 added: "He looks in so much pain! This guy is an absolute inspiration. Sending so much love and hugs!"
