Love Island is back for a brand new series with 12 new singletons waiting to enter the famous villa, along with a bombshell who’s ready to make a dramatic entrance. The ITV2 reality dating show sees a group of singletons living together for several weeks, hoping to find love and maybe even win the £50,000 cash prize. Fans of the series are being treated to their second dose of Love Island this year, after the All Stars version aired back in January. The spin-off series, which was set in South Africa, saw some of the most memorable islanders from previous series return for a second shot at finding love, including Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Curtis Pritchard . Maya Jama will once again be on hosting duties, with comedian Iain Stirling providing his trademark witty commentary. Last year’s series was won by Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan, who announced their split just months after viewers crowned them the victors. With Love Island celebrating its 10th anniversary of being revived by ITV , the 2025 edition is shaping up to be one of the most exciting to date. Here we take a look at the seven women and six men set to turn heads in the villa: Sophie, 29 Manchester native Sophie is a motivational speaker and author, who is looking for someone who is ‘fun, spontaneous, who has a lot of jokes and who is attentive’. Admitting that she’s only finding people who are ‘draped in red flags and do not cross’ signs, Sophie wants ‘women to feel beautiful and validated in themselves and feel their best self’. Dejon, 26 Dejon is a personal trainer from London who wants someone who is ‘beautiful on the inside and out, looks after themselves and is healthy’. Interestingly his dad is former Stoke City and Watford striker Gifton Noel-Williams. Dejon has shared he met Manchester United icon David Beckham through his dad. Meg, 25 Payroll specialist Meg hails from Southampton and has already declared that her type is ‘someone who is tall, with a nice tan, nice eyes and a nice smile’. However, he must have ‘good fashion sense and a really good, funny personality’. Asked what kind of business her love life is, Meg said ‘bankrupt’ but is adamant that she’s going to ‘get on that corporate ladder and be booming’. Tommy, 22 This young landscape gardener from Hertfordshire wants a ‘girl who is very ambitious, with a big personality, caring, but also someone that doesn’t take themselves too seriously’. Tommy noted that he might be ‘asking for too much’, but he just wants a ‘bit of everything’. Alima, 23 Glasgow girl Alima works as a wealth management client services executive and is looking out for ‘a tall man with a handsome face’, the kind of man who has ‘that Disney prince look to them’. Teasing that she’s a ‘good flirt’, Alima said that no man has ever gotten her number by guessing that she’s from Guinea Bissau. However if she ‘really fancies them’, she’ll give them her number anyway. Ben 23, Private Hire Taxi driver Ben from Gloucester has declared that he wants ‘someone sexy, good looking, good chat, good vibes, nice teeth and good eye contact’. Similarly to Meg, Ben said his love life business is ‘bankrupt’ and he’s ‘been out of business a long time ago’. Helena, 29 Cabin crew member Helena is after ‘somebody funny or Northern’. The London native prefers Northerners as they ‘have much more banter than Southerners’. Putting personality before looks, Helana admitted that you ‘can pretty much laugh her into bed’. Conor, 25 Drafted in to replace an islander who had to leave for ‘personal reasons’, Conor is a professional rugby player from Limerick, Ireland. Having already sought advice from Greg O’Shea, Conor is after ‘someone who is really sure of themselves, ambitious, a bit of a go-getter and good craic’. Avoiding people who are ‘too needy’, you can find Conor with ‘sunglasses on and with an iced coffee’. Megan, 24 Irish musical theatre performer and energy broker Megan currently lives in Brighton but was born in Dublin and is looking for love. Seeking to avoid people who ‘take themselves too seriously’, Megan wants someone who’s ‘a bit pasty, like Timothée Chalamet’. Blu, 26 Construction Project Manager Blu is another Londoner taking part this year. Blu is all about family and wants someone who ‘has a lot of love to give and a lot of love to receive’. As well as being able to speak fluent Spanish, Blu claims he has the ‘charm to smooth things over with a girl’. Shakira, 22 Sharkira is from Burnley and works in marketing! She is looking for ‘someone who is tall, charming, witty, with big arms, a good smile and just really funny’. While she had a ‘busy love life’, Sharkira is yet to have found ‘the husband’ and is ‘looking for the ring’ on Love Island. Harry, 30 As the oldest contestant of this series, the singleton from Guildford works as a gold trader, semi-professional footballer and model. Never one to have a dull moment, Harry says he ‘doesn’t go for the most obvious’ girl. Oddly enough, he’s actually Arsenal star Declan Rice’s body double, posing for any of his body close ups. Toni, 24 The series' first bombsehll is Las Vegas Pool Cabana Server, who hails from Connecticut in the United States. Describing herself as ‘super outgoing’, Toni wants an ‘active person’ who she could ‘start a family with’. With dating in America ‘a mess’, Toni wants a British man in part because they’re ‘pretty charming, polite and have good manners’. Anyone looking to win her heart should be warned that dressing badly is her ‘biggest ick’. Toni has ulcerative colitis, but made headlines when she managed to go to her prom the same week as being admitted to hospital. Love Island begins on Monday, June 9, at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
