Harrison Solomon has spoken out about quitting Love Island.
The 22-year-old a US college soccer player and student decided to leave the villa after his love interest Lauren Wood got the boot during Friday's (July 18) emotional episode.
The dog walker got dumped after bombshell Angel Swift decided to couple up with her partner Ty Isherwood, leaving Lauren single.
After deliberating over his decision, Harrison followed Lauren out of the villa and has opened up about his experience.
He said: "It was an emotional rollercoaster of a journey for me, there’s never been a dull moment. I’ve obviously been involved in a few triangles.
"The first was with Toni [Laites] and Helena [Ford], I was relatively new to the Villa so I wanted to explore connections and I came to the conclusion that Toni was the better suit for me.
Then when I went to Casa there was an instant spark and connection with Lauren, I knew from day one there was something special there.
"When I came back from Casa something in the back of my mind was still thinking about Toni.
"If I had left with Lauren when Shakira [Khan] had the choice to send me home, I think I would’ve always regretted not giving me and Toni one final go as we left on good terms before Casa. That’s the reason I gave a little speech before the recoupling on the Terrace.
"As soon as I did that, I felt terrible towards Lauren. For two days, I tried to go tunnel vision with Toni but there was something holding me back.
"I felt like Lauren and I naturally gravitated towards each other, the connection we have is so so special I wasn’t ready to leave it."
Harrison grew close to Harry Cooksley and Dejon Noel-Williams during his time in the villa but admits that he regrets listening to some of the advise shared by the boys.
Speaking about his close bond with his co-stars, he explained: "Harry and Dejon were my best mates in there.
"I went to Harry a few times asking for advice. On reflection, he was probably the worst person to go to for advice.
"He does have a serious side but if I was ever to get into the situation again, I probably wouldn’t go to him again, his advice was horrendous.
"The trio was something special, the banter was flying, we were so close in there. I’m sad to leave them."
Love Island airs Sunday to Thursday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
